FANTAILS Programme
Designed to develop positive values and skills that can be used in everyday life.
Physical activity and football can be great teachers in helping young people to develop positive behaviours such as making new friends, respecting others, speaking, and listening, working well individually and within a team, having a positive attitude and overcoming challenges. All skills we want our young wahine to acquire.
The girls will learn about and discuss different values and life skills in every session and reflect on how they can be applied in different areas of life.
When: 8 sessions, Thursdays 4:00-5:00 pm – 5th Feb, 12th Feb, 19th Feb, 26th Feb, 5th Mar, 12th Mar, 19th Mar, 26th Mar.
Where: Ferrymead Park
Cost: $5 per session, so $40 in total
The sessions will be run by trained Ferrymead Bays coaches

First Kicks/Fun Football Term 1 Programme
We have an opportunity for our youngest existing or new players to "have a go" and join in a 6 week programme of fun activity playing football down at Ferrymead Park.
Boys and girls turning 4, 5, 6 and 7 in 2026 (First Kicks) and turning 8 or 9 in 2026 (Fun Football) are welcome to register and come down.
When: Mon 16th Feb , Mon 23rd Feb, Mon 2nd March, Mon 9th March, Mon 16th March & Mon 23rd March.

Junior Bays Ballers
Ferrymead Bays - Junior Bays Ballers - Term 1 2026
We are super excited to be continuing with Junior Bays Ballers in Term 1. This programme is for all of our keen junior players who are looking to get their football fix before the 2026 season starts. Each session will include skill activities, fun drills, and small sided games.
This programme is for existing or new players turning 10, 11, 12, or 13 in 2026 (as well as 9 year olds who played 9th grade in 2025). It will be 6 sessions in total, Tuesdays in Term 1 starting on the 10th of February.

Regular Season Information
First Kicks (4 - 7 years)
Our First Kicks programme is for boys and girls (born 2019-2022) who are just starting on their football journey and want to learn basic skills, play games and make new friends.
Games: Saturdays from 9-11am at Ferrymead Park starting on May 2nd, 2026.
Skills sessions: Mondays from 4-5pm at Ferrymead Park.

Ferrymead Fun Football (8 - 9 years)

Junior Football (10-13 years)
Junior football is for players born between 2013-16, is played on Saturday mornings in the Mainland competition and is split into age bands, playing on different fields around the city at various times.
The focus is still on enjoyment, with no results or tables being recorded.
At the start of the season, players are placed in teams based on graded ability, friendship groups, association to the coach, or general allocation.
2026 Grading Info:
- 10th boys/mixed: 4-5pm Barnett Park, 23rd & 25th of February.
- 11th boys/mixed: 4-5pm Barnett Park, 24th & 26th February.
- 11th girls: 4-5pm Barnett Park, 24th & 26th February.
- 12th boys/mixed: 5:15-6:15pm Barnett Park, 23rd & 25th of February.
- 13th boys/mixed: 5:15-6:15pm Barnett Park, 24th & 26th February
- 13th girls: Pre season sessions 5pm Monday & Thursday Ferrymead Park - starting January 26th.

Ferrymead Bays FC has multiple teams playing in each age grade.
Junior games start on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
Boys/mixed:
- 10th boys/mixed 7-aside 25 min halves 9:15am
- 11th boys/mixed 7-aside 25 min halves 10:30am
- 12th boys/mixed 9-aside 25 min halves 9:15am
- 13th boys/mixed 9-aside 30 min halves 10:30am
Girls only:
- 11th girls only 7-aside 25 min halves 10:30am
- 13th girls only 9-aside 30 min halves 10:30am
Fee: $240
Junior playing kit: Players need boots and shinpads. Shirts are provided and navy shorts and socks can be bought from our online shop.
Skills sessions: Available now via Otakaro FC.
