Ferrymead Bays FC provides football for all youth players aged 14-19 regardless of their ability, with high-quality experiences in order to retain or attract them to the game.

Youth grade teams participate in inter-club competitions run by Mainland Football and all teams play on Saturdays.

Boys/mixed

Ferrymead Bays FC enters teams into several competitions.

  • 14th grade     11-aside    35 min halves     9:15am
  • 15th grade     11-aside    40 min halves     9:15am    
  • 17th grade     11-aside    40 min halves     10:45am   
  • 19th grade     11-aside    45 min halves     10:45am

Girls only

Ferrymead Bays FC enters teams into the girls-only 15th grade competition.

2026 Grading Info - All Sessions at Barnett Park:

  • 14th boys/mixed: 6:30pm 24th February.
  • 15th boys/mixed: 6:30pm 24th February.
  • 17th boys/mixed: 6:30pm 23rd & 25th February.
  • 19th boys/mixed: 6:30pm 26th February.

Fees

For players born 2006-12 (age 13-19): $250

Playing kit

  • All players need boots and shinpads
  • Shirts provided by the club
  • Navy shorts and socks can be bought from our online shop

Talent Development Programme

Aspirational players can trial to play for Ōtākaro FC, with teams entered in the Canterbury Development Leagues.

In 2023, Ferrymead Bays FC partnered with several other clubs in eastern Christchurch to form Ōtākaro FC as a way to pool playing and coaching resources.
