Our First Kicks programme is for boys and girls (born 2019-2022) who are just starting on their football journey and want to learn basic skills, play games and make new friends.
Where: Ferrymead Park.
When: Saturday mornings, 9-10am for 4-5 years, 10-11am for 6-7 years, starting on May 2nd, 2026.
Format: 30 minutes - fun skill based activities. 30 minutes - 3v3 mini games.
Teams: No fixed teams.
What to bring: Football boots, shin guards, drink bottle, weather appropriate clothing.
Skills sessions: Mondays 4-5pm at Ferrymead Park.

Our Fun Football programme is designed for 8–9 year olds who want to learn, improve, and most importantly — enjoy the game. We focus on skill development, confidence building, teamwork, game understanding, and having fun in a positive environment.

When: Saturday mornings 9:30am, staring on May 2nd 2026.
Format: 30 minutes - skill station rotation. 45 minutes - 3x 15 minute 5v5 games.
Teams: No fixed teams to start the season.
What to bring: Football boots, shin guards, drink bottle, weather appropriate clothing.
Skill sessions: Tuesdays 4-5pm at Ferrymead Park.

Junior football is for players born between 2013-16, is played on Saturday mornings in the Mainland competition and is split into age bands, playing on different fields around the city at various times.
The focus is still on enjoyment, with no results or tables being recorded.
At the start of the season, players are placed in teams based on graded ability, friendship groups, association to the coach, or general allocation.
2026 Grading Info:
Ferrymead Bays FC has multiple teams playing in each age grade.
Junior games start on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
